When we talk about quarterback play, it’s common to cite traditional stats to make declarations—good or bad.

Jalen Hurts enters Week 14 among the NFL leaders in passer rating (103.9, 6th) and TD/INT ratio (19/2). On the surface, that’s great. It points to Hurts playing well. It’s an easy defense. But what about the under-the-hood numbers, the ones that might point to why the offense has been so bogged down this year?
