Benefit of the doubt

Don't forget this when the A.J. Brown drama reaches its ultimate conclusion.

I don’t know what’s going to happen with the Eagles and A.J. Brown.

Quite frankly, I’m not sure the Eagles do either.

Sure, Brown is under contract through 2029. But that’s nebulous. All NFL contracts are, really. If Brown is happy and wants to remain in an Eagles uniform, he will—at least until the team thinks his skill, talent and production no longer justify his hefty salary. If Brown is unhappy and wants out, he’ll be gone—as long as the Eagles can justify a cap hit with future savings and/or trade compensation.

Add in the team’s pursuit of back-to-back Super Bowl titles and the whole thing becomes murkier than one of Brown’s infamous social media posts.

But there is one thing we should all completely agree on when it comes to Brown, the Eagles, and where this drama is headed.
