Exceeding expectations

Now that was a heck of a baseball game.

Phillies 10, Brewers 8.

Call it the game of the year. Call it a preview of October baseball. Call it a back-and-forth between the two best hitting (in terms of batting average) teams in the National League.

I’ll call it a game the Phillies wouldn’t have won a little over a month ago.

Of course, Jhoan Duran got the save. But let’s take a minute to appreciate a player so many of us were underwhelmed by at the MLB trade deadline.
