Now that was unexpected.

When the National League went up 6-0 last night, I (and probably you) thought the game was over. A blowout. Little drama. Likely down ratings. A day or two of “will baseball ever matter nationally?” conversations. Ugh.

Then the American League made a spirited comeback, capped off with Steve Kwan (go get him, Dave Dombrowski) sending the game to extras with an infield hit in the ninth.

From there, it was Kyle Schwarber time.

Here’s what I was thinking as Schwarber won it in the swing off.
