After the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft, one thing is crystal clear: We’re living in a new Eagles world.

No, I’m not talking about the pick of Makai Lemon at No. 20 (after a trade up with the Dallas Cowboys) meaning A.J. Brown is out the door. We’ve known that for a while. Whether or not the Eagles took a wide receiver in the first, second or third round, Brown was a goner.

The real lesson of the Eagles big-picture plan came together with Lemon, a player that symbolizes the shift this franchise is attempting to complete on the offensive side of the ball.
