Enough is enough.
That would be my mantra on all of this if I was running the Eagles.
Of course, I’m not. I’m just a guy that talks about them every single day. I don’t get to make decisions. And while just I’m a fan of the team and invested in how things go on a day-to-day and year-to-year basis, I can’t help but think about what Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie thinks of the ongoing A.J. Brown drama—specifically yesterday’s nonsense.
I know this: I would be embarrassed if I was in Lurie’s shoes right now.
It feels like Brown is forcing his way out, and winning the battle to get to where he wants: New England. The whole league seems to know it. The messaging gets clearer and more concise by the day. And making matters even worse is how much winking and nodding Brown and New England seem to be doing to the Eagles as the whole episode unfolds.
Yesterday, the Dudes on Dudes podcast resurfaced a clip from Brown’s interview on the show during Super Bowl week, the one in which Brown winked when former Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman said “we’re all Patriots.”
Then, Brown was photographed working out with veteran safety Kevin Byard—recent signing of the New England Patriots.
Brown and his Patriots buddies are trolling all of us, including Eagles leadership.
It’s getting old, and I have to imagine the man in charge of one of the best organizations in the NFL isn’t happy about it.

Why is Andy Dalton here now? I dove into it on WIP Daily.
