That looked different.
I’m not talking about last night’s 10-7 win.
Really, most Eagles wins over the last two years look kind of similar. Rarely is it pretty. It’s often close. It has ugly moments. The head coach and/or quarterback usually leave us shaking our heads, yet walking away with another W. The running back typically makes a highlight-worthy play. The perceived top wide receiver is mostly invisible. The little things are done better than the opponent.
Did I miss anything?
Ah, at least in terms of 2025, yes: Pressure—especially off the edge—hasn’t been consistently present.
That’s until now.
Last night wasn’t just an NFC-shifting win. It featured a “hold on now” moment that could change the ceiling of this football team, and it reminded me of a trade deadline acquisition from the past.
