Should Eagles want Commanders or Packers as first playoff opponent?
We'll find out the Eagles playoff opponent today.

The battle-tested team from football’s toughest division?
Or the upstart with a dynamic young quarterback and confidence stemming from a victory over the Eagles in Week 16?
That’s what’s facing the Eagles on Wild Card Weekend, which is hardly an easy route to start the postseason as a No. 2 seed. Since the NFL shifted to a seven-team playoff format in 2020, the final seed in each conference had profiled as a 9-8, fringe contender, often looking like a sacrificial lamb for whichever No. 2 seed it had to face out of the gate.
This year? That’s hardly the case in the NFC.
Green Bay (the first No. 7 seed to win last year in Dallas) enters play today 11-5 with a plus-124 point differential (fifth-best in the NFL). Washington enters play today with the same 11-5 record, including four straight victories.
I’d prefer to see Washington next weekend, and take my chances with a rookie quarterback on the road at The Linc. But neither match up will be easy, setting the stage for the Eagles to potentially go through a NFC gauntlet to reach New Orleans.
We’ll debate and discuss all the possibilities on WIP this morning. Countdown to Kickoff starts at 10a, followed by the Eagles Radio Network Pregame Show at 11. Watch the show on our 94WIP Youtube channel.
