Cooper DeJean was a revelation as a rookie nickel corner. Is it wise to have him get ready to play outside?

This day was always coming.

It was just a matter of time.

As the Eagles took the field for OTAs this week, all eyes are on the defending Super Bowl champions. And with a team that lost so much talent in the offseason, this summer will be about how that talent is replaced, by whom, and which returning stars step up to bigger or different roles.

One to keep a close eye on: Second year defensive back Cooper DeJean.

If recent events are an indication of what’s to come, his role as the nickel corner could be changing.

But is that a good thing?
