The most confusing part of every Jalen Hurts rankings debate

Jalen Hurts wasn’t ranked as high as many thought he should be. Here we go again.

We’re back.

No, not quite football season. That starts next week when training camp opens for the defending champion Eagles.

I’m talking about quarterback list season. Last week, I released my rankings heading into 2025.

Yesterday, NFL coaches, executives and scouts did the same, via ESPN.

I had Jalen Hurts at No. 6. The ESPN survey had him at No. 9. Ironically, we had the same five names occupying the top five.

Naturally, everyone is mad. Many feel Hurts has been disrespected, again.

Which brings me back to the same question I’ve been asking since these lists began in May.
