Opportunity could be knocking for Howie Roseman and the Philadelphia Eagles when they get on the board at pick No. 23 in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft on April 23.

As the countdown to Day 1 of the draft continues, one name seems to be confounding draft experts: Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson. The one-year starter is probably the second quarterback off the board in this class, trailing only No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza.

But does that mean Simpson goes in the top 16? Or does he fall, potentially to the back half of the first round?

If he’s on the board at No. 23, the Eagles should be ready to set their franchise up for the future.
