Late June. First day of summer. First place on the line in the NL East.

Mets at Phillies.

And while it’s natural to look up at see a tie atop the division heading into the weekend, the standings aren’t top of mind for me right now. Sure, it’s great to be in this spot. A series win means first place on Monday morning.

But this series needs to be about more than that for this Phillies group.
