The star Jalen Hurts most resembles

Maybe Jalen Hurts is easier to define than some of us made him out to be.

Sure, he’s a winner. That’s been clear since his days at Alabama and Oklahoma. It hasn’t stopped in the NFL. It’s now cemented with a Super Bowl ring.

But when we talk about Hurts, the conversation is never simple. He doesn’t put up the gaudiest numbers, but his numbers (140 total touchdowns through five seasons) are quite good. He doesn’t pop off the television screen, but his play is quite effective, especially in key moments. He’s not considered (at least hasn’t been up to the this point) one of the handful of best players in his sport, yet his team seems to win just as much (if not more) than his peers.

Does the profile remind you of anyone else in recent sports history?

It does to me, especially after seeing the image of Hurts in his ‘Love, Hurts’ hoodie a few weeks ago.
