Are you ready?
Parade Day has arrived in Philadelphia, and it’s set up to be a day we remember and talk about for a long time.
Seven years ago, Jason Kelce walked to the podium at the Art Museum and brought down the house. It’s a speech that lives in infamy in sports parade history.
Can anyone top it? Probably not. But there’s one person that I want to hear give an unfiltered, let-everyone-hear-it speech today.
Nick Sirianni.
Yup, the head coach. Typically, these parade moments are usually made best by unfiltered players (think Kelce in 2018 or Chase Utley in 2008) going rogue and letting all of the doubters hear it.
But Sirianni isn’t your typical coach. He’s brash. He’s loud. If you watched the NFL Mic’d Up Super Bowl episode on NFL Network, you saw him dancing on the sidelines and counting sacks as the Eagles were dismantling the Chiefs. Sirianni isn’t your typical CEO, which would make a potential celebration speech all the more memorable.
He could go after the haters, the doubters and those who wanted him fired (me, me, and once again me) at some point. He could curse. He could cry. He could be overcome with emotion.
It’s all on the table.
Today will be special. It’ll go to a different level if we get unfiltered Sirianni at the mic.
Here are the five Eagles I feel happiest for on a day like today.
