The wackiest game of the 2025 Phillies season, that’s what. Last night’s 7-6 win over the Nationals wasn’t just a late-inning thrill ride. It was why we love sports. It was a microcosm of the talented, but flawed Phillies. It was the kind of game in which you declare the team dead and back all in a matter of minutes.

It was also a referendum on Dave Dombrowski’s team-building mistakes, and made me wonder if the Phillies president is going to admit (and repair) them before its too late.
